These ten Realms are not stages of an ascent or lessons in a course, but states of attention you have already lived and fled. The books are the maps; these pages mark only the crossings.

I. Origin The unmarked ground before distinction
II. Form The boundary that permits contact
III. Identity The mirror of named separation
IV. Will The tension of force and refusal
V. Echoes The repetition of what came before
VI. Compassion The opened seat without defense
VII. Presence The witness that cannot be displaced
VIII. Integration The quiet alignment of worked tools
IX. Threshold Fear The dread of surrender before the crossing
X. Return The ordinary gate back into the world
